PHOTRON USA is proud to announce new releases
Photron USA, Inc. (Cameron Park, CA) recently
announced that its highly regarded chromakey product
would be appearing at the SIGGRAPH 2003 show in conjunction with several new
host applications. PRIMATTE, a powerful chromakey
tool offers a revolutionary solution for ultra-precision matte control blue or greenscreen compositing. It easy-to-use interface has
become a standard in both the television and motion picture industries. It is
currently available as a plug-in for Imagineer
System's mokey, Discreet
inferno/flame/flint/fire/smoke, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Sony
XPRI, Discreet combustion 3, AVID |DS, Apple Shake, Pinnacle CommotionPro, AVID Media Illusion, Interactive Effects
Piranha, and the Quantel generationQ products.
"Our goal with Primatte is to have it available
on every major compositing package on the market," said Photron Manager, Scott Gross, "We've almost done it.
We just recently signed an agreement with D2 Software to include Primatte in their upcoming NUKET product. NUKE is the
primary compositing software used in-house at Digital Domain. We are also
announcing a version of Primatte for Imagineer System's mokey product
for Windows, LINUX, IRIX and Mac OS X."
This year at SIGGRAPH Primatte can be found in
several new booths. eyeon
Software has added Primatte as a plug-in option to
their Digital Fusion product. Red Giant Software will be showing the Primatte for After Effects product. Digital Anarchy will be
sowing the Primatte for Photoshop product which they
plan to upgrade and re-market later this year.
Quantel has implemented Primatte into its hardware so
it can do 10 fps HDTV video for 'almost real time' review. A plug-in version of
Primatte for Discreet combustion 2.0 should be
shipping shortly. While iQ
has its own keyer, the Primatte
plug-in extends the functionality with an easy to use toolset for more
difficult chromakeying.
Primatte has made a major impact on the industry and
has been used on such major motion pictures and television shows as Harry
Potter, Spy Kids 3, Lord of the Rings, Cast Away, Spiderman and many, many more
films, TV shows, music video and commercials. Known for the ease and speed at
which compositing artists can pull mattes on such difficult foreground objects
as 'fly away' blonde hair, reflections, motion blur, smoke and water, Primatte has been making artist's lives easier for several
years now.
