NEW ORDERS FOR LIGHTWORKS TOUCH NLE NETWORKS

Following hard on the heels of the international box office success 'Bruce Almighty' - edited by Scott Hill on a Lightworks Touch network - the UK nonlinear manufacturer has announced a tranche of new orders.

Cutting on location in Montreal, Thelma Schoonmaker (Gangs of New York, Goodfellas, Raging Bull) is using two fibre-networked Lightworks Touch systems for Martin Scorsese's 'The Aviator'.

Global Entertainment Partners in Los Angeles has installed a Lightworks Touch with fibre storage for 'The Game of Their Lives' - a feature based on the US soccer team's attempt to win the 1950 World Cup. The movie is directed by David Anspaugh and edited by Ian Crafford (Hope & Glory, Never Say Never Again.)

At Editline in Dublin, Peter Howitt's latest feature 'Laws of Attraction' is being cut on a Lightworks Touch network by Tony Lawson (Michael Collins, The Bounty.) In London, editor Tariq Anwar (American Beauty) has just taken delivery of a Lightworks Touch network to start cutting his latest project 'Compleat Female Stage Beauty', directed by Sir Richard Eyre. The systems were supplied by London Editing Machines.

In Queensland Australia, THEpostWORKs has snapped up a Lightworks Touch system to cut the latest series of 'Crocodile Hunter' and 'Croc Diaries'. These documentaries were cut by the facility's founding editor Bob Blasdall.

Whether used as a networked or standalone system, the Lightworks Touch is fast becoming the system of choice for an increasing number of high profile film and television projects.
